Bubble Bobble. Its just so weird.

Sometimes the weirder they look the funner they are.  This is true of Bubble Bobble (Baburu Boburu).

Originally an Arcade game designed by Taito,  it has been revamped for multiple systems and consoles over and over again since 1989.  Its a platform bubble popping game with progressive difficulty, that I must admit is rather addictive.
You basically run around each level blowing bubbles around your enemies and popping them to collect food.  Seems easy huh. Well it gets really hard Here is me dying on level 10------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
The main objective of the game is to save Bob and Bub's girlfriends  from some evil monsters.  I happen to have a level 10 code I'm gonna post at the end of this blog,  so if you wanna pick up where I decided I like the game go here http://arcadecow.com/game/12566/Bubble-Bobble.html

If you wanna know more about the game go here> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_Bobble

Thanks for looking in and as always please like favorite and subscribe.
Oh the code here it is

Nes Flashback: Bards Tale, D&D for Dummies.

Its about as easy as D&D type games can get.  Some may think its hard, but I found it slightly lacking.
Most especially when compared to Pools of Radiance.  But if I had no other comparison,  I'd have to say this game rocks pretty hard.  .  And while I did enjoy PoR more I must point out that Bards Tale has been a favorite of mine since long before I knew about ad&d PoR(Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Pools of Radiance) It has everything you would expect from a good rpg.  Classic named spells and monsters and a decent story.
"Long ago, when magic still prevailed, the evil wizard Mangar the Dark threatened a small but harmonious country town called Skara Brae. Evil creatures oozed into Skara Brae and joined his shadow domain. Mangar froze the surrounding lands with a spell of Eternal Winter, totally isolating Skara Brae from any possible help. Then, one night the town militiamen all disappeared. The future of Skara Brae hung in the balance. And who was left to resist? Only a handful of unproven young Warriors, junior Magic Users, a couple of Bards barely old enough to drink, and some out of work Rogues. You are there. You are the leader of this ragtag group of freedom fighters. Luckily you have a Bard with you to sing your glories, if you survive. For this is the stuff of legends. And so the story begins..."   Where it ends is up to you.  More information on this game is available here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bard%27s_Tale_%281985_video_game%29

Nes Flashback: Alfred the Chicken. Why just ..why..

Hey!  You wanna bounce around collecting diamonds and bursting into feathers all day?  Me either but someone did.  That someone... was very high.  And in this highness brought us "ALFRED the CHICKEN"
Pursued by windup toys on terrain that looks like cheese from a Tom and Jerry cartoon.  You are Alfred.  A chicken.  Pecking, floating bouncing, and diving your way through various obstacles in the effort to....  some purpose im sure.
Ok enough downing the subject material of the game. Is it fun?  Well to be honest yes.  Its challenging and has some secrets to find if your persistent.  Bombs are just fun and "Worms of Protection"  are kinda silly but useful to.  Despite the very strange appearance, it stands out as a game I enjoyed a lot as a kid.  Check it out here http://nintendo8.com/game/601/alfred_chicken/

oh and please subscribe to Nesflashback.blogspot.com  Thanks to all my readers.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!
